Parkinson’s is on the rise. In the UK today, someone is diagnosed every 20 minutes. There are over 40 symptoms, from tremor and pain to anxiety. 166,000 people in the UK have a Parkinson’s diagnosis, including around 8,972 in Wales.
Parkinson’s UK Cymru is a people-powered organisation, and our local communities across the country are at the heart of everything we do. We’re here for everyone affected by Parkinson’s and our work is broad; we support people affected by Parkinson’s in the local community with a number of support groups and activities across north Wales. We also fund innovative research into new treatments and we’re passionate about ensuring that everyone understands the true impact of the condition.
