Who can enter?

The Go North Wales Tourism Awards are open to all tourism businesses in North Wales.

If you are not a current member of North Wales Tourism/Go North Wales and wish to apply please click here for further information.

Businesses don’t need to be graded to apply, however businesses that go through to the National Tourism Awards will need to become either graded/approved or accredited by Visit Wales

Does it cost anything to enter?

No – for 2024 there is no charge to enter the awards.

Can I enter more than one category?

Yes you can, however separate application forms must be submitted for each category.

Submitting application

All applications must be submitted electronically.  Judging will be based on completed applications only.  All entries are judged on the quality of the submission against each criteria.  A visit will be undertaken to businesses shortlisted in Best Place to Eat category. A visit may be undertaken to all regional finalists as part of the judging process for the National Tourism Awards 2025.

Applications will be invited by organisations to nominate themselves or their own staff – nominations from customers and third parties will not be considered.

Go North Wales reserves the right to move an application into a different category, if deemed more appropriate and should this occur the business affected will be informed.

Go North Wales will not accept responsibility for applications delayed or lost because of any network, computer hardware or software failure.

Deadline for applications will be Monday 7th October 2024.

What we are looking for?

We encourage you to provide information that is relevant, valid and up-to-date. 

All entries should be submitted using the online form.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Monday 7th October 2024.

Location of Business

In order to go forward to the National awards any business that is located on the border of North and Mid Wales must decide to which awards they apply as only one regional application will be accepted.

After submission of application

Following receipt of applications the judges will access each application and a shortlist will be identified.  Applicants will be advised whether or not they have been short-listed during week commencing 21st October 2024 via e-mail. Winner agrees to use his/her name and photograph in future publicity.  Judge’s decision is final.   

By entering the tourism awards you agree that if you should win you may automatically by put forward for the Visit Wales National Tourism Awards 2025 and agree to be part of any related publicity. It will not be possible to revisit your application prior to being put forward for national judging.

Confidentiality

Only the organisers, judges and judging panel will have access to your application form and any supporting documentation.  However, you should be aware that the judges comments about the quality of your business may be used as part of the script at the Awards Ceremony, if you become a finalist.

Winners Announced

There will be no advance notification of the winners as these will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 21st November 2024.

Tickets

Deadline for purchasing tickets for the Awards Ceremony is Friday 15th November 2024.
